Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead daily supervision and outage planning, ensuring safe, cost-effective maintenance across plant operations. You will coordinate work scopes, manage vendors, and drive continuous improvement in performance and safety standards.

The role requires a strong background in power plant operations, plus the ability to lead teams and manage complex outages with focus on reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of power plant operations or maintenance experience, or a related engineering/business degree with substantial related experience.
• Experience leading and supervising employees in a related field.
• Strong leadership and safety/sustainability focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision, coaching, and planning for outage work.
• Coordinate scope development, pre/post outage activities, and resource planning.
• Oversee safety programs, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage contractors and vendors to ensure cost-effective outage execution.
• Develop and monitor outage plans, schedules, and budgets.
