Job summary

Tokai Carbon CB Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance B to support the Maintenance Department. The role focuses on keeping plant equipment running smoothly and assisting in issue resolution.

The candidate must qualify via an assessment that yields solidly skilled or skilled designations in specified areas. Essential functions include rapid repair of equipment, planning tasks, monitoring equipment for safety and efficiency, and clear communication of resolutions to management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand safety manuals, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production or processing machines and equipment rapidly to reduce production lag.
• Assist with planning and execution of all department tasks and work orders.
• Monitor and maintain plant equipment to support occupational health, safety, quality assurance and equipment efficiency.
• Communicate resolution processes clearly to supervisor and management.
• Communicate critical information regarding jobs and tasks to supervisor.
• Routinely use hand or power tools to address machinery issues/deficiencies.
• Apply relevant disciplines (Mechanical, Welding, Instrumentation, Electrical, etc.) to maintenance objectives.
• Support and practice approved safety procedures and protocols.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Review and execute ISO responsibilities defined by the department.
• Comply with environmental safety procedures and mandates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
