Job summary

Sora Resource Group in McDonough, GA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain mechanical systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical devices in a manufacturing setting. This hourly role reports to the Maintenance Leader and requires hands-on problem solving and a commitment to reliability.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, follow safety procedures, and document actions.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
One-year certificate from college or technical school is required.
Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
Combined knowledge of mechanical technology with electrical and electronic circuits.

Responsibilities

Address process and equipment issues, conduct preventive and predictive maintenance.
Adhere to safety and housekeeping programs and policies.
Utilize machinery, equipment, and measuring tools for alignment, maintenance, welding, and repairs.
Plan and perform lubrication and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Assist with developmental and experimental projects, manage data and records.
Follow lock-out tag-out procedures and perform electrical repairs only on de-energized equipment.
Complete motor replacement, wiring repairs, and other maintenance tasks.
Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to guide repairs.
Travel as needed for training and other purposes.
Maintain regular attendance and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
