Job summary

Ashton North LLC in McDonough, GA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain mechanical devices, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems and electrical components. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, follow lock-out/tag-out procedures, read blueprints, and assist with development projects while traveling for training as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, plus a technical certificate and 2–3 years of related experience, with strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school.
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training.
• Combined knowledge of mechanical technology with electrical/electronic circuits.

Responsibilities

• Address process and equipment issues; perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Improve safety, quality, and plant efficiency.
• Follow safety and housekeeping programs to ensure a safe work environment.
• Use machines, equipment, and measuring tools for precision tasks (alignment, welding, repairs).
• Plan and execute operational maintenance including lubrication.
• Assist with developmental projects and manage data and records.
• Follow lock-out tag-out procedures and perform electrical repairs only on de-energized equipment.
• Complete motor replacement and wiring repairs as required.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to guide assembly and repair.
• Travel as needed for training and other purposes.
• Maintain regular attendance.
