Job summary

Synagro WWT, Inc. is seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to perform corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance across the facility. You will work under the Plant Manager to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

The role requires welding, pipe fitting, and refurbishing equipment, with strong troubleshooting and safety discipline. Domestic shifts, chance of overtime; physical work up to 100 lbs; this on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Mechanical experience with heavy trucks, trailers, equipment and pipe fitting.
• Experience with FIXX or similar PM systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply regulations to ensure safe, reliable operation of the plant and meet requirements.
• Perform preventative, corrective and emergency mechanical maintenance across plant equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions; document issues and resolutions.
• Perform fire guard duty and confined space watch.
• Participate in training programs within allocated timeframes.
• Assist with general duties to maintain a clean, safe facility (sweeping, shoveling, etc.).
• Maintain and secure work tools after use.
• Demonstrate safe behaviors and perform work safely.
