Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant asset operation. Lead preventive and corrective programs, develop maintenance strategies, and manage budgets for maintenance activities.

The role requires strong leadership to drive performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with focus on safety, quality, and reliability, in a union environment if applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years in maintenance management in manufacturing or salt processing.
• Experience with maintenance management software; union environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Maintenance Department to ensure safe, efficient asset operation.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies; manage preventive and corrective programs.
• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget; track costs and optimize expenditures.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance staff; enforce safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with General Manager on strategic plans, capital projects and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations and company policies.
