Job summary

Buckeye Linen Service, Inc. in Newark, OH is seeking a Maintenance Leader to direct and optimize maintenance operations at our facility.

Lead a team, develop schedules, and drive preventative programs to maximize reliability and uptime. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-driven systems, champion safety, and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
3-5 years of experience leading and managing maintenance teams.
Strong knowledge of plant maintenance areas: Boilers, Air compressors, Welding & piping, Hydraulics & pneumatics, Electrical circuitry and PLCs, Electromechanical systems, Utility and electrical troubleshooting, General equipment and building maintenance.
Strong verbal and written communication with all levels of management and employees.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Associate's degree in engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise maintenance personnel with hands-on leadership.
Develop employee schedules to support production and maintenance needs.
Train, develop, and mentor maintenance staff.
Develop and improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Monitor maintenance KPIs: uptime, downtime, PM completion, MTBF, MTTR.
Oversee maintenance and operation of boilers, air compressors, and plant utility systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-driven systems.
Design, plan, install, maintain, and improve plant systems and equipment.
Support capital improvement and equipment projects.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, cleanliness, and continuous improvement.
Ensure maintenance supports production goals with minimal interruptions.
Collaborate across departments to achieve operational goals.
Assist other areas as needed.
