Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Decatur, AL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor responsible for direct supervision of maintenance projects, ensuring machinery, grounds and buildings stay operational and compliant with USDA, GMP, OSHA and environmental standards.

You will lead the maintenance team, prioritize work, manage parts inventory, and partner with Engineering and Quality Assurance to resolve issues, while mentoring Maintenance Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Proficient with PM systems and Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing regulations and utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Participates in supervision and maintains Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Supervises maintenance department personnel to minimize downtime and accidents.
• Organizes and schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery.
• Identifies cost reduction opportunities with operating teams.
• Collaborates with Engineering, Product Development and Quality Assurance to resolve maintenance issues.
• Supervises and maintains an accurate parts inventory.
• Participates in hiring and developing Maintenance Associates.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
