Job summary

Finlays Solutions in New Lenox, IL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance and facilities team, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and production uptime. You will oversee mechanical repairs, installs, changeovers, and preventive tasks while managing spare parts and CMMS documentation.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong electrical/troubleshooting skills, and ability to coach staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade school, military training or technical college preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Hands-on industrial facilities & equipment in related industry; beverage experience a plus
• Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting highly desired
• Experience with pumps, piping, instrumentation equipment, welding, use of hoists, cranes, and fine measurement devices is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering documents and specifications
• Basic knowledge of both (A/C) high voltage and (D/C) low voltage electrical wiring
• Reads and understands electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams & schematics
• Computer proficient; MS Office; Ultimo experience a plus
• Familiarity with basic food production and food safety principles is a plus
• Team-oriented attitude; adaptable to change; strong problem-solving mindset
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under shifting demands
• English communication proficiency for procedures and safety
• Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety policies, SOPs, GMPs within Maintenance & Facilities
• Promote safety culture and address unsafe conditions
• Maintain operational readiness and minimize downtime
• Direct and perform line changeovers, mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting, repairs
• Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance via CMMS
• Verify maintenance documentation for accuracy
• Support and enforce documentation best practices
• Supervise and mentor maintenance team; after-hours support
• Train personnel on equipment care and inspection protocols
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with plant goals
• Communicate departmental performance in team meetings
• Assist in building parts lists and inventory tracking
• Oversee parts ordering for repairs and rebuilds
• Foster continuous improvement and predictive maintenance strategies
• Identify initiatives to reduce downtime and improve reliability
• Maintain forklift certification and adapt to varying shifts
