Job summary

PCE, Inc in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Maintenance Technician Intern for M-F, 4pm-8pm, 16-20 hours per week. You will assist in troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of plant equipment, gaining practical experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Under supervision you will perform scheduled maintenance, participate in TPM and ISO/OSHA compliance, and help keep work areas clean and organized while supporting production uptime.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in Mechanical/Electrical field or related degree or a minimum of 1 year of equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment to support production.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment as necessary.
  • Thorough preventive maintenance checks on a routine schedule.
  • Perform mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and facility equipment.
  • Adhere to ISO guidelines, OSHA Safety and Health regulations, and maintain clean work areas.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Perform various building maintenance activities inside and outside the plant
