Job summary

LHH in Lombard, IL is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor to lead maintenance and facilities operations across two manufacturing plants. The role ensures reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment while managing budgets, inventories, contractors, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required, preferable in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or related field.
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, and welding maintenance; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing safety practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to travel between facilities regularly.
• Capable of performing physical requirements, including lifting, climbing, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance and facilities team across all shifts.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities, ensuring rapid response to equipment and facility issues to minimize production downtime.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce operating costs.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Develop and execute long-term maintenance and facilities strategies that support business objectives.
• Utilize maintenance systems and performance metrics to drive improvements and KPI reporting.
• Support capital planning, project justification, and execution of facility and equipment improvement projects.
• Manage third-party contractors and vendors performing maintenance-related work.
• Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting resources, and equipment records.
• Oversee spare parts, maintenance inventory, and budget management to support operational needs.
