Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle in Loves Park, IL is seeking a Sr. Maintenance and Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, and facility operations across HVAC, electrical, utilities and infrastructure.

You will champion proactive maintenance, oversee contractors, coordinate shutdowns, and develop long-term asset strategies to maximize uptime and safety. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in maintenance, engineering degree preferred, strong CMMS experience, and a track record of Lean or PM pillar

Qualifications

• 10+ years in maintenance or manufacturing operations.
• Engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance/reliability engineering principles.
• Deep knowledge of facility infrastructure (HVAC, electrical, utilities).
• Autonomous maintenance, defect elimination and PM pillar practices.
• Proficient in root-cause analysis and problem solving.
• CMMS/EAM experience for work orders, planning and lifecycle Mgmt.
• Regulatory compliance including OSHA and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability across production and facilities.
• Oversee safety programs, audits, and incident investigations.
• Manage capital projects, shutdowns, and asset replacements.
• Coordinate with QA/EHS to ensure compliance and sanitation.
• Mentor supervisors, planners, and technicians; develop talent.
• Drive PM, preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance.
• Optimize spare parts, inventory accuracy, and CMMS data.
• Analyze KPIs to improve uptime and cost efficiency.
