Job summary

Martin Marietta in Belgrade Quarry, Maysville, North Carolina is seeking a Utility Person to support plant maintenance, production and equipment operation. You will grease and lubricate machinery, maintain housekeeping and operate equipment safely.

A successful candidate is safety conscious, dependable and motivated, with a High School Diploma or GED and, ideally, experience in the building materials industry. Hours are 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM with weekends as necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in the building materials industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative and routine maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Operating a skid steer, front end loader and other equipment to clean around plant areas.
• Conducting daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintaining maintenance logs.
• Assisting in production, loading, shipping and quality control activities.
• Maintaining site housekeeping and safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Administering site-specific training to visitors and guiding them around the site.
• Documenting aggregate tonnage and sales activity in daily/weekly reports.
