Job summary

Hollingsworth & Vose Company in Hawkinsville, GA is seeking a Manager, Maintenance and Engineering to lead maintenance, reliability, facilities, and capital projects across the plant.

You will develop asset-management strategies, ensure safe operations, and optimize equipment availability while managing budgets and cross-functional teams.

You will drive continuous improvement through Lean and Kaizen programs, partnering with EH&S, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to meet plant goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum seven years in maintenance, engineering, or reliability in a continuous-process industrial environment, with leadership responsibility.
• Experience with maintenance planning/scheduling, reliability improvement, capital projects, root cause analysis, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, reliability, facilities, and capital engineering programs aligned to plant priorities.
• Establish and enforce safe work practices for employees and contractors.
• Partner with Site EH&S to improve safety and environmental performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to improve equipment availability.
• Lead maintenance planning and scheduling, shutdown prep, and coordination with Operations.
• Use CMMS data and KPIs to monitor PM compliance, backlog, downtime, and costs.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring failures and downtime events.
• Manage maintenance budget, spare-parts strategy, and resources within the annual plan.
• Provide technical leadership for electrical, instrumentation, controls, and mechanical systems.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean, Kaizen, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, EH&S, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to meet plant goals.
