Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. is seeking a Planner - Plant Logistics to analyze and plan intra-logistics processes, capacities, and material flow in Cheraw, SC.

This role focuses on implementing planning processes, forecasting capacity, and coordinating with warehouse providers to ensure timely shipments. Qualified candidates have an associate degree or higher, experience in production scheduling, and strong knowledge of BOMs and QS/TS 9000.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or high school diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing routings, BOMs, and QS/TS 9000 requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications, including mainframe systems, PC-based software, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of plant operations.
• Ability to utilize scheduling reports to ensure on-time shipments.
• Able to adapt manufacturing procedures and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and plan intra-logistics processes, capacities, material flow and equipment for the assigned unit.
• Implement all related processes and systems for intra-logistics planning.
• Forecast intra-logistics capacity to ensure storage room and equipment for goods and products.
• Plan efficient logistic processes and material flow for production supply and warehouse operations.
• Provide planning support to manager for services and coordination with logistics providers.
• Implement warehouse layout changes to meet business needs.
