Job summary

Trane Technologies in Waco, TX is hiring a Plant Lean Coach to drive Lean transformation by embedding Lean principles, practices and tools into daily operations. You will lead value stream analyses, review procedures, and organize teams to eliminate waste and improve productivity.

You will train staff via Gemba walks, support standard work adherence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement with site leaders and managers. Strong coaching and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Lean environment with coaching and developing Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Experience facilitating at least 30 Rapid Improvement Events using a defined process and delivering measurable impact.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, flow, standardized work and visual management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct value stream analysis to assess current operations and create a vision for a future state.
• Review procedures to identify obstacles, plan changes and organize teams to implement them.
• Lead planning and execution of Rapid Improvement Events to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
• Train coaches and staff via Gemba walks on problem solving and Lean basics.
• Support adherence to standard work during pre-work, event week and post-event weeks.
• Foster culture change by developing employees and leaders to adopt Lean principles.
• Collaborate with Site Leader and managers to resolve issues during implementation and sustainment.
• Fulfill Value Stream Coach duties when needed.
