Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions seeks a Plant Leader for the Pelham, AL plant to coordinate production and shipping activities. You will lead the workforce, collaborate with management and quality control, and ensure on-time, accurate shipments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of equipment experience in manufacturing, and 1 year in a lead role. Forklift certification is preferred, with opportunities to grow and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment.
• 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Ability to work outdoors.
• Forklift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate daily production and shipping schedules to ensure smooth operations.
• Organize and manage the workforce to maintain productivity.
• Collaborate with plant management and quality control to resolve production issues and maintain quality.
• Oversee loading activities, inspect loads for accuracy, and ensure shipment integrity.
• Periodically check accessory inventories and provide recommendations.
• Train laborers in plant operations and safety protocols.

About the Role

As a Plant Leader, your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating daily production and shipping schedules to ensure smooth operations.
• Efficiently organizing and managing the workforce to maintain optimal productivity.
• Collaborating with plant management and quality control to resolve production issues and maintain quality standards.
• Overseeing loading activities, inspecting loads for accuracy, and ensuring the integrity of product shipments.
• Periodically checking accessory inventories and providing recommendations to plant management.
• Training laborers in various plant operations and safety protocols.

What We Require
