Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Plant Lead to supervise daily production, ensure safety, and maintain equipment reliability.

This role acts as a bridge between management and frontline teams, organizing shifts and guiding plant personnel to meet targets and uphold high quality and housekeeping standards. You will lead safety meetings, coordinate maintenance with the maintenance supervisor, inspect operations, and assist in planning long-term mining and monthly forecasts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience, preferably in the Aggregates Industry.
• Minimum of 1 year Supervisory or progressive leadership experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of plant systems and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize employee shifts to meet daily production goals.
• Provide input on employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Aid in training of new hires on plant systems and safety procedures.
• Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports using company software/logs.
• Enforce MSHA and internal safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety, housekeeping, and mechanical inspections.
• Lead daily safety meetings to promote a safety-focused culture.
• Operate plant machinery as needed to support production flow.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor for preventive/emergency repairs.
• Maintain plant appearance and ensure product quality.
