Phoenix Metals Company is looking for a Plant Lead to support daily plant operations by leading production employees, ensuring safety and quality, and operating production machinery as needed. This working leader balances hands-on duties with team coordination and training to meet production goals efficiently and safely.

The role requires overseeing staff, coordinating day-to-day operations, and participating in safety and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining housekeeping

Qualifications

• 1–2 years warehousing, material handling and machining experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Manual dexterity and coordination required.
• Able to read and follow written instructions and perform basic math.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows software.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work with supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff on a limited basis and train accordingly.
• Oversee daily operations for a functional plant area.
• Lead group meetings with staff.
• Set up, operate, monitor and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Maintain machines within specifications and standards.
• Conduct safety meetings and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and report issues.
