Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Lead to supervise daily production activities, ensure safety, and maintain equipment reliability while bridging management and frontline teams. This working supervisor role demands clear communication of standards and proactive leadership to sustain high-quality output.

You will plan shifts, monitor performance, train new hires on plant systems, lead safety meetings, conduct regular inspections, and coordinate with Maintenance for scheduled and emergency

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting plant systems and equipment.
• MSHA compliance and regulations knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude for maintenance and repairs.
• Strong communication of safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize employee shifts to meet production goals.
• Provide input on employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Aid in training of new hires on plant systems and safety procedures.
• Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports.
• Enforce safety rules per MSHA and internal standards.
• Conduct regular safety, housekeeping, and mechanical inspections.
• Lead daily safety meetings to uphold a safety culture.
• Operate plant machinery and mobile equipment to support production flow.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to schedule repairs and prevent downtime.
• Maintain plant appearance and ensure product quality is not compromised.
