Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC seeks a Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across two plants, driving safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will lead production, maintenance, tooling, and material handling while coordinating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and performance.

The role requires lean manufacturing expertise, P&L involvement, ISO 9001:2015 familiarity, and strong leadership with a focus on developing supervisors and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in metal stamping/manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• P&L experience to impact financial performance.
• ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and data analysis skills (Excel & ERP).
• Ability to schedule within ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage Plant Production, Maintenance, Tooling, and Material Handling to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Champion safety program and lead corrective actions.
• Coordinate training and compliance.
• Build and monitor production schedules aligned with demand and inventory goals.
• Manage OEE metrics to improve OTD, output, and labor impact on P&L.
• Oversee shipping/receiving, inventory, cycle counts, and equipment maintenance.
• Support equipment installations and facility layout projects with internal and contractor teams.
• Audit adherence to standard work and process control to reduce defects and costs.
• Review quality metrics with plant leaders to drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate staffing to support current and future production needs.
• Oversee development and evaluation of Supervisors and Leads.
• Identify operator development needs and implement training programs.
• Assist in 6S and visual factory tool deployment and monitoring.
• Understand and manage plant P&L to influence variable labor and Opex.
• Manage QEK program to support quarterly metrics.
• Plan, implement and support operational improvements.
• Promote Lean tools to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Use data-driven process to solve problems.
• Encourage employee suggestions for continuous improvements.
