Lindy Paving is seeking a Plant Laborer to join its operations team at the Homer City and New Kensington asphalt plants.

Primary Function:

Assist in asphalt production in a plant environment.

Typical Duties:

• Handle construction aggregates and materials such as sand and gravel
• Operate hand and power tools powered by gasoline, electricity, or compressed air
• Operate mobile equipment like sweepers, forklifts, bobcats, yard trucks, and water trucks
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and vehicles; welding skills required
• Clean all plant areas using tools like shovels and brooms
• Perform other duties as needed in the plant

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of plant production experience with construction aggregates or equivalent
• Welding skills required
• Good communication skills; ability to read signs, signals, and follow instructions
• Willingness to join the union and pass a pre-employment drug test

Physical Requirements:

Correctable vision, ability to lift 50-100 lbs occasionally, and work in various physical positions and weather conditions.
