Job description

LABORER

Shift and Pay:

• 2PM - 10PM, M-F @ $16.25
• 10PM - 6AM, M-F @ $16.35

Position Summary

Perform general labor functions throughout the plant, including shipping and receiving, drying, and cleaning (plant & equipment).

Job Responsibilities

• Operate the JL and Ross Lines to produce various specialty products (if qualified).
• Handle and operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including laminator, floor scrapers, pallet movers, spray guns, and shovels.
• Operate additional machinery such as scrap grinder, garbage compactor, baling machine, mattress covering machine, electric hoist, squeeze washer, and centrifuge when fully qualified.
• Perform cleaning tasks inside and outside the plant, including equipment and work areas.
• Move materials between workstations and remove scrap hoppers as needed.
• Wrap and box mattresses, slabs, and other products.
• Assist Shipping and Receiving personnel, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Grind and bag scrap foam, and manage scrap disposal.
• Assist Maintenance personnel on projects as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
