Overview

An established manufacturing operation is seeking a Plant Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions at its facility. This role is central to shaping a positive, compliant, and well-organized workplace, delivering integrated HR services across organization design, talent management, employee relations, and change management for both hourly production and salaried staff.

What you'll do
  • Acclimate employees to plant policies, procedures, regulations, safety rules, and benefits
  • Ensure employees fully understand the conditions and benefits of their employment
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including for inactive employees, in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, affirmative action reporting, and other required reports
  • Develop and write policies and procedures affecting both hourly production and salaried staff
  • Coordinate pre-employment drug screening and valid testing for prospective employees prior to extending employment offers
  • Lead new employee orientation
  • Monitor personnel transactions such as layoffs, recalls, and permanent transfers to ensure compliance with company and plant policies
  • Administer the benefits program daily, including handling employee inquiries, resolving problems, and compiling data
  • Coordinate with other managers and supervisors to ensure effective implementation of HR department policies
  • Follow safety regulations and enforce compliance with company safety rules and regulations
Required qualifications
