Job summary

Roquette is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager for the Keokuk, IA site to drive HS&E programs and regulatory compliance. You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and Corporate HSE to foster a proactive safety culture and environmental stewardship across the plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading Health, Safety & Environmental programs.
• Minimum of 5 years direct people leadership experience.
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and regulatory audits.
• Certification in CSP/ASP/GSP/COSS/CES desirable; Air Emission and storm water experience.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and drive culture change.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for all HSE initiatives as a Site Leadership Team member.
• Develop and execute site HSE strategies to support operational excellence.
• Champion accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive risk management.
• Develop and implement HSE programs tailored to the corn wet milling facility.
• Oversee training programs and promote a strong safety culture.
• Establish industrial hygiene monitoring and reporting programs.
• Coordinate emergency response and liaise with authorities.
• Ensure regulatory reporting and audits compliance.
• Lead policy development and risk assessments; conduct root cause analyses.
• Coach and mentor up to five direct reports and cross-functional teams.
