Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in the Lee's Summit area is seeking a Plant HR Manager to lead recruitment, onboarding, payroll, safety, and employee relations in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of HR management experience in manufacturing, with strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with Plant Leadership and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field; 5+ years HR Manager experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of payroll, benefits, safety, compliance and HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, selection and retention of plant staff in partnership with Plant Leadership.
• Manage weekly payroll processing and attendance policies.
• administer employee relations, investigations, coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and GMP requirements; liaise with EH&S when needed.
• Maintain employee records, reports, and data analytics related to turnover, attendance and performance.
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires and training programs for employees and leadership.
• Serve as liaison between management and employees to resolve issues and improve engagement.
• Act as Plant Safety Coordinator and manage safety training and first aid procedures.
• Collaborate with temporary labor agencies to meet production staffing needs and process payroll invoices.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned; travel up to 25% may be required.
