Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the on-site HR strategy for Starline's Nashville plant, partnering with plant leadership to shape workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and development aligned with business goals. The role requires manufacturing experience, strong communication, and the ability to influence across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• 7+ years of progressive human resources experience, including at the HR manager or senior HR business partner level
• Manufacturing experience required, with understanding of plant operations and hourly workforce practices
• Experience supporting and influencing a sizeable hourly manufacturing workforce across multiple shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance to Plant Manager and site leaders, translating priorities into HR actions
• Lead HR workstream for plant startup and ramp-up, including org design, hiring plans, onboarding, policies, and culture
• Develop and execute short- and long-term HR plans supporting safety, production goals, quality, and growth
• Build relationships with employees and leaders across shifts through on-site presence and credible communication
• Oversee workforce planning and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to recruit hourly and salaried talent
• Establish onboarding, training, qualification, cross-training, and leadership development practices with operations
• Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, performance management, and employee relations
• Manage employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and compliance with EEO and policies
• Develop a plant communication strategy to keep employees informed and aligned with business priorities
• Partner with EH&S to reinforce safety culture and compliant people practices
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements and company policies
• Administer and guide compensation, benefits, attendance, and HR programs with Centers of Excellence
• Use HR metrics to identify risks, propose solutions, and measure outcomes
• Manage site HR priorities, resources, vendors, and projects with urgency and discipline
• Represent the plant in enterprise HR initiatives and handle special projects as needed
