Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Plant Operator/Hole at the Butler Sand Plant in Butler, GA. The role reports to the Plant Manager and emphasizes safety, with possible weekend work.

Salary starts at $25.00 per hour and includes overtime, medical, and retirement benefits. The position is full-time/permanent with duties spanning hole operation, sand mining support, and heavy equipment maintenance. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and pass a pre-employment drug

Qualifications

• Must maintain safe work practices at all times.
• Prior sand mining experience is required or strongly preferred.
• Welding/metal fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate hole and pit equipment and perform related duties.
• Assist in the sand mining process and material handling.
• Run barge/water cannon operations as directed.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely.
• Inspect conveyors, screens, and other machinery.
• Complete daily pre/post inspections with proper documentation.
• Service and maintain equipment per management instructions.
• Follow MSHA and environmental safety regulations.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and lockout/tagout rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Rogers Group is currently seeking a Plant Operator/Hole at our Butler Sand Plant in the Butler, GA area, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and be flexible to work weekends.

Job Details:

• Starting wage is $25.00 per hour
• Fulltime/Permanent
• Weekend work may be required
• Overtime available along with medical and retirement benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and perform hole and pit responsibilities
• Assist in sand mining process
• Barge/water cannon operations
• Be able to operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery
• Inspect and maintain conveyors, screens, and other equipment
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
• Properly follow all company policies and MSHA/ environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have a dedication to safe work practices at all times
• At least one year of sand mining experience!
• Experience welding and metal fabrication is a plus
• Able to perform safety and maintenance inspections
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to50 poundson a regular basis.
• Team player attitude
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
