Job summary

Mariani Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Field Technician to improve and maintain the aesthetics of client properties across Indiana. You will inspect landscapes, diagnose plant health issues, and apply pesticides per label directions and state regulations, while coordinating with Account Managers.

In this role you will operate spray rigs and equipment, complete reports, and ensure licensing remains current. This is a hands-on field position requiring outdoor work year-round.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Indiana Commercial Pesticide Applicator License, categories 3A and 3B.
• Degree in arboriculture, horticulture, plant science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on work experience.
• Working knowledge of landscape plant and turf pests, diseases, and cultural disorders common to Indiana.
• Ability to work independently, manage a daily route, and maintain a positive, client-focused attitude.
• Experience with diagnostic or route-management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled property inspections to monitor landscape plants and turf for insect, disease, nutritional, and cultural problems.
• Diagnose plant health issues in the field and recommend appropriate IPM treatment strategies.
• Select, mix, calibrate, and apply pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and fertilizers in accordance with label directions and Indiana state regulations.
• Operate and maintain spray rigs, application equipment, and hand tools; perform daily equipment checks and report mechanical issues.
• Complete diagnostic reports, application records, and service documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to Account Manager in a professional, courteous manner.
• Respond to client questions and concerns.
• Maintain current pesticide applicator licensing and complete required continuing education.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable EPA, OSHA, and Indiana State Chemist requirements.
• Coordinate with account managers and crew leaders on property conditions and follow-up work.

Position Range

$26.00 - $29.00
