Job summary

Mariani Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Plant Health Technician in Indianapolis to inspect properties, diagnose plant health issues, and apply IPM treatments. You’ll operate spray rigs and maintain records, while coordinating with account managers.

Qualifications

• Indiana driver license with insurable record; valid pesticide applicator license with 3A/3B categories.
• Degree in arboriculture, horticulture, plant science, or related field or equivalent hands-on work.
• Working knowledge of landscape pests, diseases, and cultural disorders common to Indiana.
• Ability to work independently, manage daily routes, and maintain a client-focused attitude.
• Experience with diagnostic or route-management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled property inspections to monitor landscape plants and turf for problems.
• Diagnose plant health issues in the field and recommend IPM treatment strategies.
• Select, mix, calibrate, and apply pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and fertilizers per label and state regs.
• Operate and maintain spray rigs and application equipment; perform daily checks.
• Prepare diagnostic reports, application records, and service documentation accurately.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to Account Manager professionally.
• Respond to client questions and concerns promptly.
• Maintain pesticide applicator licensing and complete required continuing education.
• Follow safety policies and EPA/OSHA/Indiana State Chemist requirements.
• Coordinate with account managers and crew leaders on property conditions.
