Job summary

Arcwood Environmental seeks a Manager, Plant Health & Safety to lead the facility's safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations while driving performance improvements.

You will conduct audits, develop policies, oversee training, manage the industrial hygiene program, and track KPI metrics to reduce risk and injuries. Collaborative leadership and strong regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering or safety field (required).
• ASP/CSP certification (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in health and safety programs (required).
• OSHA, OSHA PSM, and DOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and direct health and safety programs for the facility.
• Ensure conformity with Federal, State, and Local regulations and company policies.
• Complete audits of Plant departments and monitor corrective actions.
• Build a behavior-based safety culture through communication and ownership.
• Manage near-miss and incident investigations and documentation.
• Oversee industrial hygiene program and monitor exposures.
• Develop and track health and safety KPIs and metrics.
• Represent the company with OSHA and other regulators.
• Assist in budget development for EHS needs and monitor spending.
• Coordinate health and safety training for on-site personnel.
