Qualifikationen

• Metallurgy or Materials Science degree required.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident for ITAR compliance.
• Experience in commercial heat treatment of automotive alloys.
• Minimum 3 years department management and 2 years direct supervision.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English at management level.
• Ability to write recommendations to improve QA systems/procedures.
• Familiar with AMS, ASTM, ISO, AS, QS and TS quality systems.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Knowledge of PPAP processes and approvals.
• Ability to read blueprints and purchase orders.
• Detail-oriented with deadline-focused precision.
• MS Office and databases proficiency.
• Willingness to learn lean and sustainability principles.

Aufgaben

• Implement and maintain a documented quality program that meets customer requirements and corporate standards.
• Direct and supervise the work of the quality department employees.
• Provide procedures, as required, to support quality department objectives.
• Provide training to individuals whose work affects quality in the requirements of the BMS.
• Review customer proposals, requests for quotations and/or purchase orders, including changes, to determine quality requirements.
• Establish/maintain relations with customer representatives in quality-related activities including audits.
• Interface with other departments to resolve problems and monitor work affecting quality.
• Perform activities defined in the BMS responsibility matrix.
• Monitor and audit responsibilities defined in responsibility matrix.
• Ensure conformance to quality program requirements through audits, corrective actions, and PPAP.
• Maintain supplier qualification to ensure ability to meet quality standards.
• Act as a member of the management team; perform other duties as required by the General Manager.
• Practice safety and good housekeeping; comply with EMS.
• Report for work on time, follow directions, and communicate effectively.
• Respect confidential information; do not disclose compensation details.
• Handle proprietary information ethically.
