Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. in Lampasas, TX is looking for a General Manager to lead all plant operations, drive safety, quality and cost performance, and build a high-performing team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will partner with AFNA corporate functions, manage budgeting, capital projects and KPI reporting, and ensure compliance with USDA/FDA/OSHA. You’ll align daily activities with the company’s short- and long-term goals and build a strong one-team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in food manufacturing.
• 5+ years in plant/operations management of a complex operation.
• Experience with USDA/FDA-regulated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead TPM strategy to align goals and reduce losses.
• Oversee long-range planning, budgeting and capital projects.
• Direct safety, quality, manufacturing, maintenance and materials management.
• Coordinate with AFNA functions: production planning, quality, engineering, finance, HR.
• Manage annual budget and drive cost reduction and profitability.
• Report financial and operational performance to executives.
• Set KPIs, review monthly with management.
• Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA/OSHA and other regs.
