Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks a Business Finance & Accounting Leader for the Lansing Packaging and Lansing Garden plants. You will partner with the site General Manager to drive profitability through data-driven analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, delivering actionable insights for operations and sales.

You will oversee internal controls, reporting, and capital planning, while balancing financial and non-financial indicators to support sustainable growth and efficiency improvements across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Finance career progression in corporate/operations finance with 10 years of experience.
• Experience in the paper and packaging industry or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing and influencing diverse teams with hiring and performance management.
• Strong analytical ability and willingness to dive into details; strong communication with operational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting, financial preparation and reporting for the Lansing plants.
• Forecasts with plant GM to improve forecast accuracy and profitability.
• Develop KPI-driven insights and drive plant growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Commercial leads to validate top-line revenue expectations.
• Maintain internal controls and oversee WIP, finished goods, and raw materials values.
• CAPEX planning and long-range capital needs with the GM.
• Identify process improvements and IT enhancements to optimize finance operations.
• Provide action-oriented analyses to improve working capital and margin.
