Job summary
Smurfit Westrock in the United States seeks a Finance Manager – Business Finance & Accounting Leader to partner with site General Managers, drive profitability, and own budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and CAPEX planning for manufacturing plants. You will influence plant operations with fact-based analysis, ensure strong internal controls, and communicate insights to leadership.
A Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 5+ years in corporate finance are required; experience in
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Financial Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate/operations finance.
- Experience in the paper and packaging industry or manufacturing preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and communication skills; able to partner with operational leaders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Hyperion experience desired.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting with plant leadership.
- Lead CAPEX planning and ROI analysis for capital projects.
- Maintain internal controls and balance sheet integrity.
- Provide actionable financial insights to drive operations decisions.
- Partner with business leaders to improve profitability and cost management.
