Job summary

Solventum's Brookings, SD plant seeks a Plant Finance Manager to provide strategic financial leadership for operations, partnering with the Plant Director and cross-functional teams to drive productivity and cost management.

The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, close cycles, and site reporting, with travel up to 5% and potential hybrid work; you will influence site performance and ensure compliance with Global Financial Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in finance or related field with eight (8) years of finance experience
• High School Diploma/GED with twelve (12) years of finance experience
• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience
• Master's degree (MBA) or CPA/CMA or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience in the MedTech industry
• Experience with income statements, FP&A, and financial performance management
• Experience aligning financial assumptions with business objectives
• Experience leading teams and projects and influencing stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational financial leadership to the Brookings SD Plant and support the Plant Director
• Be a strong business partner for plant financial scorecard, CI initiatives, inventory/production analysis
• Lead close processes: weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual rhythms and planning
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain to support site investment analysis
• Analyze plant spend and drive productivity improvement opportunities
• Regularly measure plant performance and drive corrective actions to meet targets
• Understand impacts of sales volume, mix, demand, and supply planning on financials
• Monitor external factors to inform management decisions
• Develop end-to-end processes and tools to standardize site reporting
• Ensure compliance with Global Financial Standards and statutory requirements

• Providing strategic and operational financial leadership to the Brookings, SD Plant team and direct support to the Plant Director
• Being a strong business partner supporting the plant financial scorecard, continuous improvement initiatives, inventory/production analysis, and other short- to long term plant financial decisions
• Leading weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes to support plant rhythms, month end close activities, QORs/MREs, OP and Strat Plans
• Collaborating with the business segments and Global Supply Chain organizations to support investment analysis at the site
• Analyze plant spend and work with the teams to identify, communicate and execute productivity improvement opportunities
• Regularly measuring and assessing plant performance (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to predict results and drive corrective actions to meet targets
• Developing understanding of impacts to the plant financials driven by sales volume, mix, demand planning and supply planning dynamics to drive productivity at the site
• Monitoring external economic factors to support the plant management decision process
• Developing and driving end-to-end processes, analyses, and tools to standardize reporting to support the site
• Ensuring compliance to Global Financial Standards and Statutory requirements

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND eight (8) years of finance experience

OR

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) AND twelve (12) years of finance experience

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent international certification.
• Experience working in the MedTech industry.
• Experience supporting responsibility for income statements, financial planning, forecasting, and financial performance management.
• Experience engaging business stakeholders to align financial assumptions, planning activities, and business objectives.
• Experience leading teams, projects, or initiatives and influencing stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities and business demands.
• Experience progressing through increasing levels of responsibility within finance, accounting, business, or operational organizations.

• Onsite (Brookings, South Dakota) OR Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Brookings, SD)
