Job summary

Solventum in Brookings, South Dakota, is seeking a Plant Finance Manager to lead the site’s financial planning and performance. As the company’s largest manufacturing plant, the Brookings site delivers a broad portfolio of products to healthcare providers worldwide.

You will partner with the Plant Director and cross-functional teams to drive budgeting, cost visibility, productivity improvements, and long-range strategies while ensuring compliance with global finance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with eight or more years of finance experience or high school diploma with twelve or more years of finance experience.
• Five years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational financial leadership to the Brookings plant and support the Plant Director.
• Partner with plant financial scorecard, improve productivity, analyze inventory/production costs.
• Lead close processes (weeklies, monthlies, quarterly, annual) and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain to support site investments.
• Analyze plant spend and identify productivity opportunities.
• Measure plant performance and drive corrective actions to meet targets.
• Understand impacts of sales volume, mix, and planning on plant financials.
• Monitor external economic factors to support management decisions.
• Develop end-to-end reporting processes and ensure compliance with global standards.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 8+ years Finance experience

High School Diploma/GED with 12+ years Finance experience

As the Plant Finance Manager at the Brookings, South Dakota plant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. As Solventum's largest manufacturing plant and a cornerstone of the MedSurg business, the Brookings site produces a broad portfolio of products that help healthcare providers improve outcomes, prevent complications, and enhance patient care worldwide. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing strategic and operational financial leadership to the Brookings, SD Plant team and direct support to the Plant Director
• Being a strong business partner supporting the plant financial scorecard, continuous improvement initiatives, inventory/production analysis, and other short- to long-term plant financial decisions
• Leading weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes to support plant rhythms, month end close activities, QORs/MREs, OP and Strat Plans
• Collaborating with the business segments and Global Supply Chain organizations to support investment analysis at the site
• Analyzing plant spend and working with the teams to identify, communicate and execute productivity improvement opportunities
• Regularly measuring and assessing plant performance (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to predict results and drive corrective actions to meet targets
• Developing understanding of impacts to the plant financials driven by sales volume, mix, demand planning and supply planning dynamics to drive productivity at the site
• Monitoring external economic factors to support the plant management decision process
• Developing and driving end-to-end processes, analyses, and tools to standardize reporting to support the site
• Ensuring compliance with Global Financial Standards and Statutory requirements

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND eight (8) years of finance experience OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) AND twelve (12) years of finance experience
• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent international certification.
• Experience working in the MedTech industry.
• Experience supporting responsibility for income statements, financial planning, forecasting, and financial performance management.
• Experience engaging business stakeholders to align financial assumptions, planning activities, and business objectives.
• Experience leading teams, projects, or initiatives and influencing stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities and business demands.
• Experience progressing through increasing levels of responsibility within finance, accounting, business, or operational organizations.

Work Location and Travel

Work location: Onsite (Brookings, South Dakota) OR Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Brookings, SD)
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $143,200 - $196,900, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
