Job summary

Fortune Brands is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the plant's financial performance in Butler, Indiana. You will partner with the Plant Manager and operations leadership to build annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and explain variances.

You will convert operating data into actions that reduce cost and improve productivity. You will oversee daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting on scrap, labor efficiency, spending, and continuous improvement savings, ensuring strong internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive finance experience within manufacturing.
• Team supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting lean projects.
• Hands-on with standard costing and variances (material, labor, overhead, PPV).
• Working knowledge of inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead reporting and financial analysis of manufacturing expenses.
• Develop, monitor, and report KPIs to measure performance.
• Create annual plant budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Evaluate actual results vs budgets and forecasts with a focus on variance reporting and productivity metrics.
• Lead standard plant cost and overhead development.
• Manage monthly and year-end closing with cost analysis.
• Coordinate with inventory team on obsolescence and reserves.
• Develop Financial Analysts and partner with plant leadership.
• Coordinate with Outdoors team for SOX controls and audits at the site.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost walks.
