Job summary

Baldwin Richardson Foods (BRF) in Macedon, NY, seeks a Plant Controller to manage the financial operations of our manufacturing plants. You will partner with plant leadership to provide timely reporting, cost analysis, and actionable insights to improve profitability.

Responsibilities include cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and capital project analysis. Travel between Macedon and Williamson is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of financial management experience in manufacturing, preferably food/CPG.
• Strong cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting skills in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with SAP and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for plant operations.
• Prepare variance analyses for labor, overhead, materials, and yield.
• Monitor costs to identify process improvements and drive cost efficiency.
• Develop KPIs and financial insights to guide plant performance.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain to align costs with targets.
• Support internal and external audits and strengthen internal controls.
