Job summary

Baldwin Richardson Foods is seeking a Plant Controller to manage the financial operations of our Macedon, NY and Williamson, NY plants. The role partners with plant leadership to deliver insights, reporting, and analysis aimed at improving cost control, profitability, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing finance, strong cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting skills, and proficiency with SAP and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• The candidate will hold a degree in finance or accounting and have at least five years of manufacturing finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop detailed variance analyses for KPIs like labor, overhead, and material usage.
• Monitor production costs and identify cost-improvement opportunities.
• Create and track KPIs to measure plant performance.
• Lead cost accounting and inventory valuation activities.
• Guide budgeting and forecasting for operating plans and capex.
• Collaborate with ops, procurement, and supply chain to ensure accurate costing.
• Provide financial insights to support pricing, product development, and capex decisions.
• Oversee internal controls and support audits.
