Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Plant Controller to lead financial operations at the Murray, KY plant. You will manage annual budgets, analyze performance against plans, and drive cost control while upholding SQR and safety standards.

Responsibilities include closing periods, preparing reports for leadership and regulators, and guiding cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong Excel and Hyperion Essbase skills are required, with manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or union environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the financial leader at the plant for the site leader and staff.
• Act as primary contact for Regional Account Service Center, General Office and plant personnel on financial matters.
• Review financial records for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Perform period, quarterly and yearly closing functions with journal approvals and analyses.
• Prepare reports for the group controller and regulatory agencies.
• Develop financial analyses including trends and pricing opportunities.
• Analyze capital projects to ensure they meet company requirements.
• Control assets and approve expenditures to prevent waste.
• Supervise office staff and resolve problems, ensuring safe, quality operations.
