Job summary

Ox Bodies Inc. in Fayette, Alabama seeks a Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance within a manufacturing setting.

You will partner with plant and executive leadership to drive cost control, performance metrics, and scalable financial processes. This onsite role requires strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and ERP systems; experience with Syteline/SYMIX preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, CPA or CMA preferred
• Five or more years of progressive manufacturing accounting experience in a standard costing environment
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office; proficient in reporting tools
• Ability to lead a team, manage deadlines, and communicate across levels
• SOX familiarity and regulatory knowledge

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee fixed assets, capital documentation, and asset acquisition tracking
• Prepare data and analyses for budgeting, forecasting, and business decisions
• Drive operational improvements, cost savings, and performance metrics
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure cost accounting accuracy
