Job summary

CoorsTek is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer to translate plant workflows and data needs into governed Databricks data products, reusable models, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. The role collaborates with IT, Manufacturing IT/OT, and business leaders to align data strategy across SAP, QAD, MES, Ignition, and related systems, delivering scalable data assets and responsible AI capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, lakehouse architecture, SQL, Python, PySpark, data modeling, ETL/ELT, or modern data engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Understand workflows, data needs, and translate them into data products, analytics, and applications.
Build and govern Databricks-based pipelines, notebooks, dashboards, and data assets.
Partner with IT and manufacturing teams to harmonize data from SAP, QAD, MES, Ignition, LIMS, CMMS, and other sources.
