Job summary

Corning is seeking a Manufacturing Data Solutions Engineer to transform manufacturing data into actionable BI, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. You will bridge operations and digital technologies, building scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting to drive operational excellence.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, SAP, CAMSTAR, and IT to integrate data from multiple systems and deliver insights that improve productivity, quality, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of data engineering, BI, analytics, or manufacturing systems experience.
• Experience supporting MES manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience developing reporting and analytics solutions for business users.
• Experience integrating data across multiple enterprise platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with Databricks, SQL, Python, and Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline design.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, dashboard development, and requirements gathering.
• Strong business process analysis and system integration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines within Databricks.
• Build and support ETL/ELT solutions for manufacturing data integration.
• Develop scalable data models and datasets for reporting, analytics, and AI solutions.
• Integrate data from manufacturing systems, historians, ERP platforms, databases, and other applications.
• Ensure manufacturing data is available, reliable, accurate, and accessible.
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards.
• Create standardized manufacturing metrics and reporting solutions.
• Support operational performance monitoring through analytics and visualization.
• Perform root cause and trend analysis using manufacturing data.
• Deliver actionable insights to improve quality, throughput, downtime, and cost.
