Job summary

CoorsTek, Inc. in Golden, CO is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer to translate plant data needs into governed Databricks data products, reusable data models, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that support enterprise insight while preserving plant‑level flexibility.

You will bridge manufacturing operations, IT, and leadership, align data strategies across SAP/QAD/MES and other sources, and deliver MVP data products that scale across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive data engineering or analytics experience.
• Experience translating manufacturing workflows into data solutions.
• Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Preferred exposure to SAP, QAD, MES, and similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand workflows, data needs, and decision points across plants.
• Identify high-value data, analytics, AI, or workflow opportunities.
• Align data definitions, hierarchies, and governance across sites.
• Develop Databricks-based data products, pipelines, dashboards, and models.
• Collaborate with IT/Data Analytics on governance, security, and architecture.
