Cibo Vita Foods in Totowa, NJ, is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive a safety-first, high-performance production environment. You will lead the engineering mechanics team, manage equipment lifecycles, and coordinate capital projects.

The role emphasizes lean practices, automation, and cross-functional collaboration with QA, R&D, and Production. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of supervision in food manufacturing, strong knowledge of food safety regulations, and experience delivering

Qualifications

5+ years leading engineering, maintenance, or mechanic teams in food manufacturing or similar industry.
Strong command of food production processes and safety regulations.
Experience delivering technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the engineering mechanics team to a safe, stable, efficient production environment.
Own equipment lifecycle activities—installation, maintenance, and repair—to minimize downtime.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality, cut waste, and raise efficiency.
Collaborate with Production, QA, and R&D to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
Design and refine a preventive maintenance strategy for critical machinery and systems.
Ensure compliance with food safety, equipment standards, and environmental rules.
Lead capital projects from planning to handover for upgrades and enhancements.
Deliver training and mentorship to expand the plant’s technical bench strength.
Manage budgets and recommend cost-conscious solutions for improvements.
Advance automation and lean practices across operations, use data analytics.
