Cibo Vita Foods in Totowa, NJ, is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive a safety-first, high-performance production environment. You will lead the engineering mechanics team, manage equipment lifecycles, and coordinate capital projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading engineering, maintenance, or mechanic teams in food manufacturing or similar industry.
• Strong command of food production processes and safety regulations.
• Experience delivering technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering mechanics team to a safe, stable, efficient production environment.
• Own equipment lifecycle activities—installation, maintenance, and repair—to minimize downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality, cut waste, and raise efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and R&D to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Design and refine a preventive maintenance strategy for critical machinery and systems.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, equipment standards, and environmental rules.
• Lead capital projects from planning to handover for upgrades and enhancements.
• Deliver training and mentorship to expand the plant’s technical bench strength.
• Manage budgets and recommend cost-conscious solutions for improvements.
• Advance automation and lean practices across operations, use data analytics.
