Zina's Fine Foods, a refrigerated food manufacturer in South Plainfield, New Jersey, seeks a Maintenance & Engineering Manager with full ownership of the engineering function. You will lead a small in‑house team covering controls, mechanical repair and facilities, directing external vendors as needed and owning uptime and asset strategy.

You will drive PM programs, write specifications for equipment, and determine what to fix, replace, or automate.

Formación

• Five+ years in industrial maintenance or plant engineering in sanitary production environments.
• Two+ years directing technicians or trades.
• Hands-on ability to diagnose and repair across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and process drawings, sizing pumps, fans, motors, air and refrigeration loads.
• Experience selecting and commissioning production equipment and running acceptance tests.
• Willing to be on the floor daily in refrigerated and wet areas.

Responsabilidades

• Own the PM program, asset register and spare parts stocked on site.
• Diagnose and fix failures across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and controls.
• Direct vendors for refrigeration, electrical and specialty services.
• Set parameters and changeover standards for operators to follow.
• Build an automation roadmap and decide what to automate first.
• Lead capital projects and evaluate rebuild vs. replace decisions.
