Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and engineering at the plant site in California. The role directs PM programs, environmental compliance, and safety initiatives while coordinating with contractors and corporate teams.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, and strong planning, communication, and organizational skills. Travel up to 5% is possible; CMMS and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Five years of experience in manufacturing with exposure to environmental compliance.
• Ability to multitask in a team-based environment.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Direct the engineering function and maintenance activities including PM programs and capital projects for plant improvement.
• Coordinate modifications and repairs in the plant, including outside contractors and corporate staff.
• Supervise scheduling of maintenance and labor personnel, including journeymen in mechanical and electrical work.
• Direct environmental activities related to air, water, hazardous and solid waste in compliance with government agencies.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy plant environment and training for apprentices and journeymen.
• Perform administrative tasks to manage the department and foster relationships with employees, unions, other departments, and corporate.
