Job summary

The Plant Project Manager at Ardagh Group leads and coordinates engineering and maintenance activities at the plant site in Wisconsin. This role directs preventive maintenance programs, capital project development, and coordination with contractors and corporate teams to drive continuous improvement.

The position requires strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in manufacturing and environmental compliance, plus the ability to travel up to 5% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience with exposure and understanding of environmental compliance.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Direct the engineering function and maintenance activities including implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs and developing capital projects for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate all modifications, additions, and repair projects in the plant including external contractors and corporate staff.
• Supervise and direct scheduling of hourly and salaried personnel including journeymen for mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Direct environmental activities across air, water, hazardous, and solid waste and comply with regulatory agencies.
• Assist in establishing a safe and healthy environment throughout the facilities and maintain zero-accident goals.
• Establish and assist with training for apprentice safety and journeyman updates.
• Perform administrative activities for effective management of the department and foster relationships with employees, the union, other departments, and corporate.
